Registration
The registration period begins four weeks prior to the start of the event.
Team Activation
To have a team activated, a team must have a minimum of six players signed up for the team AND also have their team league fee paid in full. They also must have their unique game ID (STEAM_ID) filled in on their profile page.
League Membership Fees
The membership fee for the FGL TF2 event is one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) US Dollars per team. Being a member in FGL allows you as the player, to compete in the FGL TF2 league. FGL accepts PayPal and all major creditcards. All PayPal questions can be addressed at
www.paypal.com. Once the event registration period ends and the event begins, no refunds will be allowed. Refunds can be made at any time prior to the ending of the league registration date, by submitting a ticket to the head TF2 admin.
Member Names
Member game handles and tags containing any of the following will not be tolerated: profanity and racism. Players with offensive names will be contacted by an official and asked to edit their name.
Team Names
Team names containing any of the following will not be accepted: profanity and/or racism. Teams that try to join with banned names will be contacted by an official and asked to edit their name or be barred from joining.
Team Name Changes
Team name changes are allowed (getting sponsored), but are limited to one change per season.
Captain / Manager Responsibilites
The team captain or manager are in control of the team and are responsible for updating their teams roster, as needed. You will also be responsible for submitting all of your teammates' fees as part of your FGL TF2 team/league fee.
Rosters
All team rosters are established during the registration period prior to the start of the season. Changes to team rosters may take place during the registration period and during the regular season. Teams are required to have the minimum number of members required (6) to play a
match to be considered an active team.
Roster Lock Period
Rosters will be locked a day before the start of the Playoffs. No teams will be able to add any player(s) after the rosters have been locked for the playoffs.
Unique Game IDs
It is the opposing teams responsibility to check and verify the opposing teams roster and verify that the players Unique Game ID's are correct prior to the start of any match. Once a match starts, there cannot be a dispute filed for incorrect or missing Unique ID's.
Game Play Requirements
Members and team captains must follow all rules. Failure to read and understand all rules for the games division, does not permit a player or team to break any of these rules.
Sportsmanship
All members are required to uphold a universal level of sportsmanship. Any unsportsmanlike action which includes (but is not limited to) racism, profanity, rude/vulgar acts, belligerence, and disrespect of an official, may be reviewed and are reason for
filing a dispute. Rulings on sportsmanship are subject to official interpretation and up to the Head TF2 admin for disciplinary action (warning or suspension).

Configuration Files
Members may edit the league's server configuration files to change the name of the server host name, as long as they don't change any of the values to the cvar's or command lines.
Class Restrictions
The class restrictions are as follows:
2 Soldiers
2 Snipers
2 Scouts
2 Pyros
2 Engineers
2 Heavies
2 Spies
1 Demoman
1 Medic
Unlockable Weapons
All unlockable weapons are legal except for the Sandman.
Models / Skins / Sprites / Particles
Any player can use custom skins, models, sprites, and particles.
The particle exploit/hack on demoman sticky bombs (where you can see sticky bombs through walls) is not permitted. Any player found using the particle exploit on sticky bombs, will be suspended one match and have their match overturned/forfeitted to the other team.
Custom Sprays
The use of custom sprays may be used as long as they are not displaying pornography. The use of the above mentioned spray will be considered a violation of the rules and will and will result in a possible player suspension.
Message Modes
In game chat (MM1) is not illegal as long as it is done with sportsmanship and/or class. All Message Mode 1 chat must be kept to a minimum (generally by captains only) and may not include any profane or derogatory comments.
Match Reporting
Upon completion of the match, the winning team's captain must report the match final score. All forfeits (wins or losses) must be notified to the Head TF2 admin.
Match Rescheduling
Teams may reschedule a match date or time by contacting their Head TF2 admin. You must contact your admin before the start of the scheduled match in order to reschedule. Failure to contact the admin by match time, will result in the other teams forfeit loss.
Reporting False Match Scores
Intentional reporting of false match scores will be a one game suspension of the entire team. If you unintentionally reported false match scores, message your Head TF2 admin and no penalty will occur.
Forfeits
Forfeits (wins and losses) will count as part of a teams record. Forfeit wins can be made up later in the season (DPI).
Spectators
No spectators are allowed in a match server while a live match is underway, with the exception of FGL officials. Any person interested in watching matches can do so on sourcetv.
Spectator Applications
A team must use spectator applications (HLTV, SourceTV, etc.) to broadcast or record a match. Teams cannot refuse the use of a spectator application. Every match must have a sourcetv demo recorded and saved for up to two weeks.
Player POV (First Person Demos)
All players and team captains are required to record first person demos of all event matches. All players are required to hold first person demos for at least seven 14 days. After the seventh (7th) day, the demos may be discarded. If a player fails to
start their demo prior to the beginning of match play, any round not recorded in the demo will be overturned and rewarded to the other team.
Server Crashes
If a server crashes during any live match, all rounds fully completed will count towards the final score. If a server crashes more than three times during the same match, FGL will provide a neutral server for both teams toi play on.
Cheating
Cheating in any form is considered a violation of the rules and will result in immediate termination without refund. Cheating/hacking is considered any manipulation of server configurations, client configurations, models, skins, weapons, sounds, or anything that alters the predetermined settings listed within the rules. This includes aim bots, wall hacks, speed hacks, ESP hacks, or any third party program not deemed legal by FGL. Officials
have the final word on what is deemed a cheat or hack. Any players caught cheating in a FGL event will be suspended for one year.
Third Party Applications
The use of any third party application and or program to influence or manipulate the game environment is strictly
prohibited. Any such situations will be regarded as a cheating violation and will result in a loss and termination from the FGL. Any matches that the guilty player played in will be overturned.
Game Exploits
It is illegal to intentionally use any game exploits. Instances such as placing sticky bombs underneath point A on cp_gravelpit and blowing them up when enemies are capturing the point, is considered an exploit. TF2 admins have full discretion to modify the exact penalty to suit the offense.
Player Ringing
Ringers are not allowed and if a team is caught using ringers (players not listed on their league roster page), the team will be suspended for one week and forfeit their match they rang in.
Disputes
Disputes are to be held if a team believes game sportsmanship has been violated. This falls under player cheating, exploiting, profane language, etc. Contact your head TF2 admin to start a dispute process. Rulings on the dispute are final and cannot be appealed.

Season Event Structure
FGL TF2 seasons are 12 weeks in length with one match per week. 12 games total.
Playoff Event Structure
The FGL TF2 playoff system is a single elimination brackett, with teams fighting for 3rd & 4th place after losing their first match. Maps will be determined prior to the beginning of the playoffs. Playoff maps may not be changed, each team must follow the scheduled map.
Players Required To Start The Match
All matches are to be played with a minimum of five (5) players per team. No team will be allowed to play with less than the required minimum number of players unless the match has already started and a player has dropped.
Match Restart Guidelines
Once a match is live, teams are not allowed to restart the match, unless both teams agree.
Match Pausing Guidelines
Teams should pause the server if requested by either team. Each team must warn the opposing team before
pausing and unpausing the match. Pauses cannot last longer than 10 minutes.
Halftime Guidelines
After finishing the first half of the game, teams are allowed an optional five (5) minute break.
Player Substitutions
Player substitutions are allowed at anytime during the match. A player is only allowed to join the dedicated server after the player whom he/she is substituting for has left the server.
